A Thank You

This past few months have been so amazing. I'm still so shocked by how much exposure I have gotten in such a short period of time. When I started last year, I would have never thought that I would be where I'm at today, and very much in disbelief that my work is an inspiration to others. I'm beyond grateful and so humbled by it all. I know lately I haven't been responding to emails and comments from my fans in my inbox nor on my blog, but with two kids and a husband who works so much, as well as summer activities and photo shoots, I just haven't had the time. To keep my sanity, there are things I just have to learn to let go of for now. That or I would probably drive myself mad trying to keep up with it all. I hope everyone understands. Thank you so much for the love and taking the time to leave me such sweet and kind words. They all warm my heart and put a smile on my face. It means so very much to me. :)

What good is a post without a little eye candy? Here is a peek of a wedding I had the honor of photographing last weekend. When I started shooting a year and a half ago, I never thought I'd get into wedding photography. Six months into shooting, my friend convinced me to take pictures for her wedding. The little experience I gained made me realize that it was something I should try again. After being sought after by a few brides this year, here I am giving it another try.

I took this photo December of last year with my D90 and 50 1.4 and it's still one of my favorites of my little boy. Love him to pieces. He's beyond naughty, but you would never think it looking into his big beautiful eyes. I love waking up to them, and his smiley face. And yes, I'm one of those mothers that let my kids sleep in my room until they are ready to sleep alone. My sister says, "You are going to be a terrible empty nester!"
