I Dream of Spring {part I}

The excitement and giddiness I had the first time I took my camera out for a shoot is still very much the feeling I get when I shoot for me.  My dream of taking amazingly breathtaking and beautiful images at every shot,  seem so far away, but every day as I practice using photography as a way to communicate my feelings and express myself in ways I would otherwise not be able to,  I'm a step closer to that dream.  Someday.  Someday....as long as I continue to feed my soul with the feeling of excitement, joy and newness when it comes to my photography, my dream will come true.  Right?  I could only hope! :)

Without further ado, here's to "shooting for me," dreaming big, and of course Spring (my favorite season).  If only it would feel more like it today.  Part I of my Spring Editorial style shoot.  Stay tuned for part II!

iheartfaces {Pets} A Boy and His Feeesh!

Nothing is sweeter than watching my Kieren enjoy simple moments, like him playing with his fish.  Well, not exactly playing, more like watching.  Can you believe that Feeesh the fish, would actually come up and say hello every time my son sticks his face in there?  Feeesh doesn't come up for anyone, but for Kieren.  It's the sweetest thing!  Please check out the other iheartfaces entry.  Some will totally melt your heart! :)

I was so excited about participating in this week's iheartface's challenge, wind. I actually drug my daughter out for a quick fifteen minutes photo shoot. Here she is dancing against the wind.

The Search Has Begun

I'm excited to announce my first annual 2012 Senior Model Search. Models will receive a free session, digital images to put on their Facebook, a few complimentary prints, and have the opportunity to earn the Senior Portrait Collection valued at $400.

A Brighter Place

A month ago,  I became a member of the iheartfaces community. It truly has been one of the best things I have done for my photography. Through the site, I have met so many talented, friendly, kind and encouraging photographers, hobbyists, and people alike. It is such a wonderful place to interact, share, and learn from others sharing the same passion. The advice, knowledge and support I have received has been so valuable.    Since I've started,  so many sweet comments have filled my blog and inbox.  My world has truly been a brighter place from all the love.  Thank you so much everyone for the sweet words, and general kindness.  I'm so grateful.
